Bethel Church of Rapid City, under the leadership of Pastor Gerad Strong, had a dream for a church in Sturgis. In 2019, he crossed paths with Dusty and Elise. Soon after, Bethel Church-Sturgis Campus was born. Through the sacrifice and support of many volunteers, Bethel Church-Sturgis grew numerically and in unity as we approached the next phase of our journey. While the church’s name changed in the spring of 2024, the mission to know Jesus and make Him known continues to move forward!
Dusty and Elise are college sweethearts who married in 2007. They have two active boys, Joel and Micah, who love riding bikes and playing sports. Outside of church ministry, Dusty coaches high school football, rides his motorcycle, and cheers for the Philadelphia Eagles. Elise works from home in the publishing industry and volunteers at the church and in the local public schools.
Pete and Talor Enos met in college and got married in 2013. They spent four years in China doing missions work, but have been back in the states since 2018. They have four kids, each just as wild and wonderful as the next. Talor is a stay-at-home mom. She loves to worship Jesus through singing and writing music. Pete has been involved with youth ministry since college, following his passion to see the next generation walk with Jesus. Pastor Pete is very gifted in the area of connecting and relationship building. He enjoys coaching all ages. He currently coaches high school basketball in New Underwood.
Pastor Nicholas grew up in Ellendale, North Dakota (BRR!!), with his parents, Drs. Jon and Lisa, and his sister, Chloe. He attended college at Nelson University (formerly Southwestern Assemblies of God), and received his Bachelor’s degree in Cross-Cultural Studies. After graduation, Nicholas spent four months living in Brazil, where he did child evangelism and outreaches. Some of his hobbies include running, reading, and connecting with new people. Nicholas has also worked at the Black Hills Retreat Center, serving hundreds of students each summer as they connect with God during Summer Camp. Currently, Nicholas is a Bible teacher at Rapid City Christian, located in Rapid City, South Dakota.
